Fostering a Christian Vision of Mission and Reconciliation within the Great Lakes Region of East Africa
Bethany House is first and foremost a place of hospitality. Visitors from around the world are welcomed here, on the shores of Lake Victoria, into an atmosphere of rest, reflection, and renewal. Sitting just 10 minutes from Entebbe International Airport, Bethany House serves as an ideal guest house for a variety of travelers and pilgrims, including Christian ministry leaders, small groups, students, NGO workers, and general Uganda visitors. It is rooted in a Christian vision of mission and reconciliation and thus also serves as a retreat site for busy leaders and practitioners who need a quiet get away to rest, reflect, and be renewed. Founded by Fr. Emmanuel Katongole, a Ugandan priest and Professor at the University of Notre Dame (USA), Bethany House also serves as the home base for his leadership in theology and reconciliation within the Great Lakes Region. |
